The Kelley family came to The Ice to celebrate their son Adison’s 6th birthday. Faces were all smiles as the family made loops around the rink. When asked how he plans to celebrate his birthday, he says he was having a blast skating with his family.
“I’m going to eat cake and ice cream, and I went ice skating and I had a lot of fun doing it!”
Adison’s father, Santos says that The Ice at Canalside is a great place to bring his family.
“From the overall safety to the many amenities available so close to each other I enjoy bringing my children here because I know that they will have a great time!”
The Mickey Family
Cory Mickey was also celebrating his son Shane’s 8th birthday. A family of hockey lovers, Cory enjoys bringing his two sons to The Ice to practice skating and to stay active. Shane was gliding all over the ice while Cory was helping his younger son Jordan, learn how to skate. Cory agrees that the safety around Canalside helps give him peace of mind knowing his kids are having fun while staying safe.
“It’s super unique down here. Being in the heart of the city of Buffalo, you have a lot to do and if you can’t skate you can go on the ice bikes or ice bumper cars. It’s definitely a family environment.”
