Tickets and Entry
Tickets are available for purchase online or at the ticket office. Any fans over the age of four years old must have a ticket to enter the ballpark. However, children three years and younger do not need to have a ticket as long as they do not occupy a seat.
For most games, gates open one hour before the first pitch. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in April and May, gates open 30 minutes before the first pitch. All gate opening times are subject to change.
Getting to Sahlen Field
Located downtown, fans can get to Sahlen Field a few different ways. There are nearby parking lots and garages for cars and buses. All spots are first-come-first-serve, so arrive early to secure a good one. Fans can also take the Metro Rail to Seneca Station, which drops you off right next to the stadium. Those taking Uber or Lyft rideshares can be dropped off near the ballpark.
Concessions, Gifts and Merchandise
Food is a big part of the ballpark experience. Sahlen Field offers plenty of Buffalo’s best food and drinks. Concession stands located throughout the ballpark feature hot dogs, pizza, hamburgers, local craft beer and much more. Consumer’s Pub at the Park is located on the first base side on the mezzanine level, providing guests with a sit-down buffet dining experience. The Pub at the Park opens two hours before the first pitch and serves food until the 6th inning. Be sure to reserve your table online or by calling (716) 846-2100.
If you’re looking to rep some gear for the game, the Bisons Team Shop can be found at Section 112 on the first base side of the ballpark. The Batter’s Box Gift Shop is also situated on the third base side of the main level, next to the ticket office.
Remember, Sahlen Field is a cashless venue. All concessions, gifts, and merchandise are available for purchase with major US and Canadian credit cards, US debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash is only accepted for ticket purchases at the Box Office.
Weather and Game Delays
Buffalo’s spring weather can be a little unpredictable, so it’s a good idea to understand the stadium’s inclement weather policies.
Rain delays
The umpire-in-chief determines when play is suspended due to weather and whether the game will resume or be postponed. A minimum 45-minute wait is required before a game can be officially postponed.
Game-in-progress postponed
If a game is called off after it has started, hold onto your ticket—you can exchange it for a future game (excluding special events).
Game postponed before gates open
Keep your ticket and exchange it for a future 2025 game, subject to availability and excluding special events.
Completed games
If 5 innings (or 4.5 if the Bisons are winning) have been played, the game is considered official and no refunds or exchanges will be given.
